Job Purpose

Acquire and manage a large portfolio of business clients with a need for international money transfers and cross border payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear target list of businesses which make cross border payments to Malaysia, India USA, UK, Europe and other major countries. Sharp focus on Importers buying goods/services overseas, E-commerce players paying overseas suppliers and businesses with factories/branches in overseas locations

  • Sign up these businesses by cold calling to fix meetings and closing the sale through impactful presentations which showcase the SingX Value Proposition.

  • Manage and drive quantum growth in remittance volumes from these businesses. Responsible for meeting aggressive revenue targets

  • Strict adherence to all KYC criteria

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of corporate / business sales experience, preferably in the financial services sector and/or

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience with online businesses which source goods from overseas suppliers

  • Very High Energy levels and a proven track record of consistently over delivering against a revenue target

  • Strong presentation skills and business acumen to facilitate meaningful discussions with 'C' level decision makers of small to medium enterprises

  • Team player with excellent relationship skills

  • Bilingual with proficiency in Mandarin preferred to liaise with mandarin speaking clients

Chief Financial Officer

Technology has opened doors to a faster, cheaper, and more convenient way to make cross-border payments. And SingX (www.singx.co) is here to make that change happen. The Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Foreign Exchange will bring consumers together on a shared platform. Global Cross-Border Payments market is estimated at US$25 trillion and growing at 10%+.

SingX has already obtained licenses from relevant regulatory authorities to operate in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

International remittance services have already been launched for transfers from Singapore to India. Other corridors for transfers as well as other products would be launched soon.

Key responsibilities

The role acts as an internal consultant to the Principal Founder on corporate business and Finance issues, and identifies opportunities for business growth and provides leadership to the Finance function.

  • Represent SingX in strategic discussions relating to funding, financing and start-up initiatives

  • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations, business plans, cashflows and funding requirements

  • Develop and direct implementation of strategic business plans; oversee long – term budgetary planning and cost management. Identify and develop the strategy for future business opportunities for SingX

  • Play an active lead in commercial negotiations, structure design, financial analysis, feasibility studies and evaluation

  • Oversee and manage all fiscal reporting activities for the organization, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, and the development and monitoring of organizational contracts and budgets

  • Build and maintain solid relationship with banks and other key stakeholders including regulatory bodies

  • Actively identify business risks and ensure that mitigation plans and contingencies are developed and implemented

  • Conduct month end reviews of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements

  • Coordinate with External Auditors / Company Secretary to complete audit and compliance with Company Law requirements

Candidate Qualifications

CPA / Chartered Accountant. MBA in Finance from a reputed university / institute would be an advantage.

Experience / Skills

  • 10 -15 years' relevant experience in a related field of which at least 5 years must be in a senior Finance role, leading the function

  • Experience in startup businesses desirable

  • Proven track record in leading Finance function in a medium to large size business

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and technical abilities

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software

  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural business environment

  • Proactive, Decisive, and perform well under pressure

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in translating strategic vision / direction into an operational plan

Job Purpose

Set-up and run the remittance & international money transfer business for SingX in Australia. Set up the business/branch in Australia, drive quantum growth and take responsibility for managing the P&L. Develop a Market entry strategy for SingX in ANZ region

Key responsibilities

  • Set up SingX business in Australia by opening an office, hiring talent, opening bank accounts and setting up payment corridors.

  • Work with compliance & product teams to enable the SingX business in Australia. This includes customization of the SingX platform, to enable real time onboarding and instant transfers, while delivering an unparalleled consumer experience

  • Manage and drive quantum growth in remittance volumes by acquiring both Consumers and SMEs. The acquisition channels would include cold calling/ roadshows through a direct sales force, group sales on company premises, B2B sales to SMEs, relevant corporates and e-commerce players

  • Work closely with the Central Marketing team to drive digital acquisitions and to increase share of wallet with existing customers

  • Responsible for delivering the P&L and effective return on marketing Investment

  • Manage the Compliance and AML requirements of the business including the relationship with the Central Bank, regulatory authority and Government

  • Develop the SingX Go-to-Market strategy for the ANZ geography

Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience preferably with strong background in Sales & Marketing

  • Background in scaling businesses by managing a Sales force and digital marketing & technology led distribution

  • Strong Knowledge of doing business in Australia and ANZ region

  • Understanding of financial services products and AML/Compliance will be an added benefit

Personal skills

  • Prior Experience of scaling/growing a start up business

  • Passion to grow 10X versus 10%
